Welcome to Normandy SR3! We are a Mass Effect based Role Play forum with a plot based on... your suggestions!
We have a few ideas on how to go about setting up the starting plot, but we want you, and all the friends that you should definitely invite, to tell us how you want to start. Do you want to do a pre-Reaper AU? Do you want to do an AU Reaper invasion as if Shepard had never existed? Or do you want to do a post-Reaper invasion universe? Or is there an idea you have that doesn't fit in these three categories?
Whatever the case, introduce yourself and your ideas here!

For me personally, Id be good with any setting which isn't after the game story...mainly because I have not finished it yet <-<
Otherwise Id be good with anything really. A thought that flashed through my mind was Krogan wars, though if I recall correctly that happened before humans found the Mass Relay? I dunno, maybe we could have an alternative uprising? If we really want to start of the board in a state of war, heh xP

I think we can have plenty o misadventures and shenanigans if we play it Pre-Reaper or Post Reaper. Heck we could cover the two year gap in Shepard's absence, then progress past the collector threat and into the Reaper Wars. Plenty of room for story telling and world building in that time.

I love the idea of going through all the games & I would be all for covering the two years Shepard was being rebuilt (awesome idea, Grim!). I'd personally like to go through all the games & eventually have a new threat, such as the yahg or krogan uprising.
Hopefully we will get more members soon so we can knock out some more ideas! Keep 'em coming!

Update: We made a decision regarding races. The basic starting races will be Asari, Human, Salarian, and Turian. Drell, Quarians, Vorcha, and Batarians will be available as secondary characters to those who are awarded them through the otMs (subject to change). Drell and Quarians will be military specific characters while Vorcha and Batarians will be mercenary specific characters. Krogan and Geth will be characters available from some contest prizes or raffles (subject to change). This makes for a total of ten playable races altogether.

Update: We're going to have specific leader positions within the military and the mercenaries that are going to be in charge of running mini-events for their factions. Armor and weapons will have corresponding damage ratings, while health will be case by case per RP. If you have any suggestions on these updates, let me know.
